"POSSESSION & DEMON CONTROL"

     Possession and Demon Control: A person that has demonic possession is under the complete control of Satan and all of his demons.  He will do any diabolical thing that they tell him to do.  Sin and corruption is now a complete way of life.  Everything vile and despicable he would and will do.  He lives a very contemptible, miserable life with out any real human happiness. The  person has only a vague idea of any kind of normalcy.  His head is so much under the control of demonic influences, that he has lost everything that is pure and good within himself.

     We should all take their lead and be very slow to act on any suspicions that we may have about anyone.  There are demon possessed people in the world and we must be very careful not to cause undo harm.  True Spiritual discernment is the only real way of telling if someone is under demonic possession and that must be done by elders of the Clergy.  Not just laymen elders but Senior Pastors and Evangelists who have been in the ministry and are seasoned or gifted with spiritual wisdom and knowledge.  No one should label anyone as being truly Demon Possessed but them.

     Mark13:21-22 And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not: For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall show signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect. 

     People will unwittingly follow the wrong people, the wrong leaders or houses of religion because they think that they receive a good message.  Their eyes are on the "man" or religious doctrines rather than on the real God.  They are blinded by demonic activity because they haven't fully put their faith and trust in the Lord Jesus.  They are like sheep that walk blindly where ever they are led.  Even if it means to their death.  Many people will follow faults cults just out of popularity or the need to follow something or someone.

     Acts 19:13-20 Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.  And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so.  And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. 

     And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.  And many that believed came, and confessed, and showed their deeds.  Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.  So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed. 

     Spiritual discernment is the only real way of telling if someone is under demonic possession.  When a "true believer," a righteous person, filled with the Holy Spirit comes into contact with such a demon controlled possessed person, their spirits collide.  They don’t have to fear because they know that they have the power through the name of Jesus to cast out demons. 

     Not like the false priests who didn’t have Jesus as their Savior and Lord.  They didn’t have the God given power and authority to casts out any demons, but needed help themselves. Have you ever felt instantly uncomfortable around someone? You felt like there was something evil in and around them.  There was a heaviness even in the air.  You could feel a depressed, weighted down feeling. 

     As a believer, you could not understand from the mental point of view, but your inner man, your spirit was uncomfortable.  Did you feel that you just had to get away? You weren't necessarily afraid, but you knew that there was something horribly wrong. That's the  "spirit" of "demonic possession" starting, or already at work.  this doesn't mean that the person is demon possessed but that demonic spirits are close at hand. 

    I John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. 

     When in doubt seek the face of the Lord for Godly wisdom to help you handle the situation and then trust that the Lord is with you in calmness and peace.  The Lord is stronger inside of you than any demonic presence.   When a born again person full of faith commands a demonic presence to leave, they have to leave.  By the Lord's authority you can use His spiritual power to overcome Satan and cast him away from your presence.

     Luke 4:40-41 Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them.  And devils also came out of many, crying out, and saying, Thou art Christ the Son of God. And he rebuking them suffered them not to speak: for they knew that he was Christ. 

    Luke 8:2 And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils.

     Matthew 12:22 Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw.

     Mark 3:10-12 For he had healed many; insomuch that they pressed upon him for to touch him, as many as had plagues.  And unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God.  And he straitly charged them that they should not make him known. 

     Mark  1:23-28 And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out, Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God. And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And when the unclean spirit had torn him, and cried with a loud voice, he came out of him. And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? what new doctrine is this? for with authority commandeth he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him. And immediately his fame spread abroad throughout all the region round about Galilee. 

     Mark1:32-34 And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils.  And all the city was gathered together at the door.  And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him. 

     Mark1:39 And he preached in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and cast out devils. 

     Matthew 8:16-17 When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:  That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses. 

     God wants people set free of demonic possession the same as He wants people freed of any sickness that the devil brings on them.  It takes believers willing to lay hands and pray for deliverance to set the possessed person free.  The Lord loves them the same as He loves you and He wishes that no one suffer. 

     I John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. 

     Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 

     Do demons exist to torment us? Infacticlay, yes!  I "know" that they exist the same as I "know" that the Lord exists.  You only have to look around you.  Just take a look around you and see this great big world teaming with life.  It would be insensible not to realize that the Lord is real.  For anyone to even think or by pass Satan’s existence is looking for indisputable trouble.  Your eternal Salvation is on the line.   Don’t make the mistake of believing in his lies.  Those lies suppress the truth about Satan and all of the demons.
     All power is given to us through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.  We as believers, have the authority in His name to cast out demons and free the oppressed.  Faith is the answer and the only sure way to walk with the Lord.  Anything less is incomplete and meaningless.

      Rev12:7-11 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.  And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. 

     And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

     The devil and all of the fallen angels called demons, are corrupt, evil and extremely depraved.  The bible reads that the devil is the Prince of this world and of the air.  Everywhere we breathe we can feel his presence.  By asking and calling for the blood of Jesus over us and our problems with praise makes him and the demons flee away.  They can not tolerate hearing people praising God.

      I Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 

      Demons try to deceive us into believing that death is something to fear.  People have to be aware of the deception in their lives and look out for the lies that they receive.  Satan is the author of lies, tricks and deception. 

     John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

     Satan hates you with a passion of evils that goes beyond human comprehension.  He hates everyone and will try to hurt anyone that he can. We are His children and the Lord loves us very much.  How sad that sinful people choose to be lost.  That they choose to walk in sin and corruption.  God only desires them saved.

      John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. 

      Matthew 4:1-11 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.  And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungered.  And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.  But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

     Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. 

    Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and showeth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.  Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.  Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

     James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 

    Satan has the power over wicked and sinful people.  He temps them to do all kinds of vile deeds.  He tricks them into doing his will by all thought, word, and deed.  The devil blinds and deceives people.  He ensnares them with his lies.  Deceives them into believing that death is something to be afraid of. He tempts and afflicts them with fear to the point of doubting God’s word.  Gods’ Word promises eternal life but Satan brings people eternal punishment in hell.

     I Timothy  4:1-2 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 

    Ephesians 6:10-13 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 

     The Devil uses many kinds of weapons against us, in his attempt to turn us away from God’s Word of salvation.  He uses the indifference and resistance of people to discourage them from their faith in eternal life.  Persecution for righteousness  sake, emotional problems and pressures, even doubts, confusion are some of his weapons.  All sicknesses and physical problems originate from demonic influences.

    Matthew 10:1 And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease. 

     Luke 9:1-2 Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.  And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick. 

     Satan who is the God of this evil world, has made people blind and unable to see the glorious light of the Gospel.  He uses deception to prompt people into misunderstanding the amazing message of the bible.  Yet, through the Holy Spirit, the truth of the word can shine in our hearts.  Understanding and acceptance come to release us from Satan’s lies.  The belief of salvation at death gives us eternal life.

    Matthew 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: 

    Victory is ours through the shed blood of Christ Jesus who has already defeated Satan.  We can use the armor of faith in the Lord, and be convinced with confidence that when we die, glorious eternity is ours.  Death has no fear from Satan when we place our faith and assurance in Jesus through his Holy Word. 

      ***PLEASE NOTE, WARNING: Now I must warn well meaning Christians or anyone else, please don't be off going on any false witch hunts.  Before you point the finger at anyone and yell, "Possession and Demon Controlled person" talk to your Pastor and consider leaving the problem with them. Too many people get labeled with this and they are only suffering under emotional stresses and inner pain from bad memories.  Some people can really get hurt if others are not extra careful about this.  It is better to do nothing rather than hurt someone. This study is a spiritual teaching intended to help people have an understanding of the Deceptions of Satan, but please think very carefully not to jump to the wrong conclusions and doing something without Godly wisdom and guidance.  When in doubt talk to your Pastor and pray then leave it with your pastor.  This is part of their job and they are trained to know how to handle these situations.

     Go slow and pray for the Lord to give you understanding about your own life!  This doesn't mean anyone has a right to gossip about someone.  Some people are only strange and odd acting.  Just because someone acts a little different doesn't mean that they are demon possessed.  The idea here is to sincerely try and help someone, not crucify them by calling them false names.  Even if it is true about them, go slowly and make very sure of what you are doing.  Like I said it is better to do nothing rather than to hurt someone.  You can always pray for them and there is real spiritual power in your prayers.

     For years now the clergy has gone very slow and with great caution in labeling anyone with this problem.   Because of the deep hurt that can happen by well meaning, uninformed people it is better to go slowly and or do nothing.   No matter how many good intentions a person has, this is not something amateurs should tackle without proper clergical guidance and advice. Saving a person's soul is one thing, destroying their life by false accusations is another thing.  Like I said this is only a teaching intended to give Biblical knowledge.  Try looking at everyone through the eyes of Jesus filled with love and compassion.   In order to combat Satan, one needs to understand how he works at Demonic Deception in people's lives.
