You are warmly welcome here my friends, I want you to know this, if no one in the whole world cares about you, "Jesus loves you," and since he loves you, that makes you special! ."Responses To Your Questions" Question: Dear Sister Diana,
(1) If God would forsake Jesus on the cross because He bore our sins, then what about us humans who are full of sin all the time? (2) Does God turn His back on us when there is too much sin in our lives? (3) I pray God will forgive me
for my doubts and I hope you can help me understand why God would turn
His back on Jesus.
Answer: Dear Brenda, First let me set the ground work for the answers OK? God is completely Holy, pure and righteous. Completely void of any example of sin! We, living in sin would be unable to tolerate our sinful selves approaching Him. His glory would burn up our flesh in His perfect Holy presence. In our sin we can not stand before Him and live. When we love the Lord and through that humility love people, it creates a righteous humbleness in us. We yield, or surrender to God because we love Him. We surrender everything we have of ourselves. Death has little meaning the closer we come to the Lord. We can live in the proper perspective, as the love of God becomes the central point of convergence in our hearts. God is completely compassionate in His feelings toward us. He gave us this gift of death out of a deep impassioned love for us. We are all His special unique children. God loves and cares for us tremendously. He desires us to be with Him in heaven. In so accomplishing it, the promise of death is his gift to us. When found out, sin makes people hide like Adam and Eve. It show their nakedness of guilty sin. By lying or blaming others, people hope to hide their sinful condition. Let's give an example of a child breaking a cookie jar: They know that they are in trouble and try to hide behind the bedroom door covering his face with a blanket. You come in and discovering a broken cookie jar go looking for the person responsible for breaking it. You know he's hiding behind that blanket, but you still call out his name until he reveals himself. You wait for him to admit his sin to himself and to you. You wait because you love him. You know that by admitting his sin he will be able to come forth and repent of that sin. God is no different! His love for us is so much greater then we can even imagine. He wants us to admit our sins, coming before Him with a repentant heart accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Only by doing so can we then have the free gift of Salvation. Adam and Eve through direct disobedience, sinned in the Garden of Eden by eating of the tree of "knowledge of good and evil." They sinned the first human sin. The caused their spirits, bodies, and souls, (mind, will, and emotions,) to be unrighteous before the presence of God. Thus, sin entered into the world and has been rampant since then. Leviticus 17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul. God in order to cover Adam and Eve's sins, took skins of animals freshly killed, to cover their corrupt, sinful bodies with. Animals were sacrificed and their blood was spilled out. This showed that it would take (eventually,) the sacrificial blood of the lamb, Jesus to cover and wash away their sins. God through love, gave us a way to be redeemed by the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus. (1) When Jesus was crucified he cried out "My God, My God why have You forsaken Me?" If God would forsake Jesus on the cross because He bore our sins, then what about us humans who are full of sin all the time? When Jesus was crucified he cried out "My God, My God why have You forsaken Me?" He was quoting Psalm 22:1 My God, my God, why have You forsaken me? Why are You so far from helping me, and from the words of my groaning? " This was not a cry of doubt but a heart rendering appeal to God." Jesus was taking on the sins of the whole world and by dying for us, and gained the victory. He was laying down His life for us. This was a deep anguish cry because He knew that that sin would separate Him from our Heavenly Father. Jesus dreaded this the most. This spiritual separation from God. (Remember Jesus had no sin before this) Jesus had to die a double death which was "physical and spiritual." God had to turn away for the moment because it was unbearable watching the suffering that Jesus was going through. This was His Son as well as a part of Himself. The Lord had to turn away to allow it to happen. Jesus had to suffer and die for the sins of the world so that you and I will never have to experience this separation. We have physical death but thanks be to Jesus and the sacrifice that He made for us, we don't have to every have spiritual death when we have accepted salvation. God does not desire us to live apart from Him so He sacrificed His son for us. Does God turn away from us....No dear, he doesn't........Think about this question. Did God turn away from you or did He send His Son to die for you? He has already paid the price for your sins and mine. God has never turned away from us when we reach out to Him. (2) Does God turn His back on us when there is too much sin in our lives? Let me ask you this.......What loving parent could really turn their backs on their children when they are hurting? They may have to stand back and watch while that child is learning some hard lessons of life, but they stand waiting, ready to reach out with arms of love. God is no different in that respect. Even at that, human parents are full of sin and God isn't. He is always waiting ready to reach out. All we have to do is "repent" and "He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins." There is nothing much that you could do that He will not forgive you for. All that you have to do is sincerely repent and He will forgive you for your sins. (3) I pray God will forgive me for my doubts and I hope you can help me understand why God would turn His back on Jesus. Dear, when you come before God with your questions, he is so "pleased." Your searching and looking for the answers. We all have questions and wonder about a lot of things about the Lord. We will always have questions and I pray that before we die we will be able to get the answers to many of them. Never feel ashamed about asking the questions. That's the fun of life. I pray
that I have answered your questions, May the Lord Bless you dear, Evangelist
